Breaking News: Tragic Accident at Migaa,Twin Bridge on Nakuru-Eldoret Road Claims Lives, Several Injured

A devastating road accident occurred early this morning at the notorious Twin Bridge area along the Nakuru-Eldoret road, leaving one person dead and several others injured.

The accident, which took place around 3:30 am, involved a bus that veered off the busy highway while trying to avoid a collision with two lorries.

The bus tragically rolled over and overturned into a ditch, causing significant injuries to the driver and numerous passengers.

Emergency responders, including Red Cross officials, were quick to arrive at the scene, working tirelessly to rescue survivors and provide critical medical assistance.

The injured passengers have been rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent treatment.

This unfortunate incident comes just a week after another fatal accident at the same location claimed 13 lives.

On August 20, a PSV bus was involved in a multiple-vehicle collision around 5 am. The accident resulted in the deaths of 13 people, including five women, seven men, and one infant.

The bus, which was traveling from Kericho towards Nakuru, reportedly lost its brakes while negotiating the steep stretch, leading to a catastrophic crash into the barriers and other vehicles before plunging into a ditch.

A total of 55 people were injured in that incident and were admitted to various hospitals in the region.

The Twin Bridge area has now become a dangerous stretch of the Nakuru-Eldoret road, with two major accidents occurring within a span of one week.

Authorities are being urged to take immediate action to address the safety concerns on this treacherous stretch to prevent further tragedies.
