CEO Wafula Leads Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital in Launching Modern Burns Unit

Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, under the leadership of CEO Martin Wafula, has unveiled a state-of-the-art burns unit.

The modern 20-bed capacity facility is fully equipped to address the increasing number of burn cases reported in the city.

The unit aims to provide specialized care for victims of burns while alleviating the pressure on Kenyatta National Hospital.

Speaking to the media, CEO Wafula highlighted the importance of the new unit. “This initiative is part of our broader efforts to support burn victims in Nairobi and decongest Kenyatta Hospital.

It also marks an important milestone in our journey to elevate Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital to a Level 6 healthcare facility,” he stated.

The unit is staffed with highly qualified personnel, ensuring readiness to deliver comprehensive care.

It is awaiting an official launch, which will be presided over by the President of Kenya and the Governor of Nairobi.

This development underscores Wafula’s commitment to improving healthcare access and addressing critical health challenges facing Nairobi residents.
