In a stirring and heartfelt address, Dr. Isaac Newton Kinity, a prominent anti-corruption activist and dedicated Kenyan patriot, has called on citizens to take bold and decisive action as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.
His statement comes at a critical time, following a controversial declaration by Hon. Oscar Sudi, a close ally of President William Ruto, who recently claimed that the 2027 elections will be rigged “whether Kenyans want it or not.”
This alarming remark has sparked widespread concern, with many fearing a return to the dark days of electoral fraud and political instability.

Dr. Kinity’s message is clear: Kenyans must not take such threats lightly. He emphasized that the statement by Hon. Oscar Sudi is a direct attack on the nation’s democracy and should serve as a wake-up call for all citizens.
“We must unite to safeguard our votes and ensure that the 2027 elections are free, fair, and transparent,” he said.
“The future of our nation depends on our collective vigilance and determination to protect the will of the people.”
Central to Dr. Kinity’s address is the urgent need to address corruption, which he describes as the root cause of Kenya’s suffering, poverty, unemployment, and tribalism.
He urged Kenyans to look beyond the empty promises of aspiring leaders and instead critically evaluate their track records.
“Corruption has crippled our progress for decades,” he said. “We need leaders who have a proven commitment to eradicating corruption, not just in words but in action. Without this, no amount of sweet talk will bring meaningful change.”
Dr. Kinity also called on Kenyans to reject tribalism and embrace merit and patriotism when choosing their next leaders.
He likened Kenya to a patient in critical condition, emphasizing that the nation needs urgent help from anyone willing to provide it, regardless of tribe or background.
“When someone is bleeding on the street, they do not ask for help only from their tribesmate. They accept help from anyone willing to assist. Kenya is in a similar state, and we must rise above tribal divisions to heal our nation,” he said.
He further cautioned against recycling leaders who have previously held positions of power, such as presidents, Cabinet Secretaries, senators, MPs, or MCAs.
“Many of these individuals have interacted with corrupt networks and may find it difficult to take decisive action against their former allies,” he explained.
Instead, Dr. Kinity urged Kenyans to identify new faces young or elderly leaders with proven abilities, clean records, and the courage to fight corruption without fear or favor.
“Leaders like Boniface Mwangi, Rev. Timothy Njoya, and others who have consistently stood for justice and integrity should be given a chance to serve,” he said.
In a deeply personal reflection, Dr. Kinity shared his own journey as an anti-corruption crusader. “I have fought for Kenyans for many years, since I was 20 years old. I have been tortured, poisoned, and even underwent brain surgery in the USA after being targeted by the Moi regime,” he revealed.
Despite the challenges, he remains steadfast in his commitment to fighting corruption.
“My only problem is that not many Kenyans with the mindset of corruption would accept someone like me, knowing well that I would spare no one involved in looting public funds,” he said. “But as long as corruption persists, I will never shut my mouth unless on death or disability.”
Dr. Kinity concluded his statement with a powerful call to action. “Kenya has all the resources it needs to thrive: fertile land, abundant minerals, oil, and a hardworking population. The only thing standing in our way is corruption,” he said.
He urged Kenyans to rise above tribalism, empty promises, and recycled leadership.
“The 2027 elections will be a defining moment for Kenya. Let us not allow anyone to rig the process or take us backward. Let us unite, choose wisely, and work together to build a Kenya free from corruption, tribalism, and suffering.”
