Human rights activist and 2027 presidential candidate , Dr. Isaac Newton Kinity has called for international intervention over what he describes as a growing pattern of insecurity and alleged state failure to protect Kenyan citizens.

In an article shared with Nakuru Times, Dr. Kinity links the recent disappearance of Raphael Tuju to a history of unresolved killings and ignored security warnings involving high-profile individuals.

According to a report by [Nation Africa](https://nation.africa/kenya/news/ex-cs-raphael-tuju-driver-go-missing-5399306?), Tuju was reported missing under circumstances that have since raised alarm among his family and close associates.

Details indicate that Tuju recorded a report at Karen Police Station on Saturday, March 21, 2026, stating that he had been followed the previous day by a white Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series vehicle with no number plates. The report was booked under OB 21/21/03/2026.

He was later expected to appear on Ramogi FM at around 7:00 pm but failed to show up, with his phone going off shortly after. On Sunday morning, his son was informed by the Officer Commanding Station at Karen Police Station that Tuju’s car had been found abandoned on Miotoni Lane in Karen, within Nairobi.

A missing person report was subsequently filed under OB 17/22/03/2026.

Dr. Kinity argues that the developments mirror previous cases where individuals had raised concerns about their safety but were not protected.

“Before Raphael Tuju went missing, he had reported fears for his life. Before Chris Msando was murdered, he had reported fears for his life. Before Jacob Juma was murdered, he had not only reported threats but even named those he believed were behind the plot,” Kinity stated.

He also referenced the assassination of JM Kariuki, noting that the pattern of ignored warnings has persisted for decades.

The activist questioned the independence of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), suggesting that it may have been compromised.

“It is either the DCI has been forced to serve corrupt political interests or it has been infiltrated to the extent that it can no longer guarantee the safety of Kenyans,” he said.

Dr. Kinity further warned against what he termed the normalization of violence in governance.

“Kenya should not be led by corrupt politicians who use the gun in governance instead of the Constitution and the law. When citizens report threats and still end up dead or missing, then the entire security system must be questioned,” he added.

He now wants the international community to step in, arguing that local systems have repeatedly failed to deliver justice.

“The international community cannot continue to watch as Kenyans lose their lives under suspicious circumstances. There must be independent investigations, protection of witnesses, and accountability,” he said.

The call comes at a time when Tuju’s whereabouts remain unknown, further intensifying concerns over the safety of individuals who publicly raise alarm over threats to their lives .
