In a fiery statement that reverberates with deep concerns over Kenya’s future, Dr. Isaac Newton Kinity has issued a sharp warning to Kenyans, particularly targeting the Kikuyu, Kisii, and Luhya communities.

The appointment of Kithure Kindiki as Deputy President by President William Ruto is described as a “disaster for all Kenyans,” opening a dangerous chapter of suffering, oppression, and intimidation in the country.

Dr. Kinity paints a grim picture of the current political climate, where Ruto, emboldened by his power, has allegedly become a law unto himself.

According to Kinity, the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had little to do with his misconduct but was instead part of a larger plot to install a more loyal figure in the government, someone capable of driving Ruto’s personal agenda.

In his address, Kinity argues that Rigathi Gachagua’s fall from grace was not solely due to the corruption allegations surrounding him but stemmed from a well-calculated political maneuver by President Ruto.

He suggests that Ruto saw Gachagua as an obstacle to his goals and replaced him with Kithure Kindiki, a man he views as more willing to execute his vision.

Kinity sharply criticizes Gachagua’s attempts to curry favor with the President, including his efforts to alienate former President Uhuru Kenyatta from the Kikuyu community in hopes of securing Ruto’s trust.

“He thought Ruto would forgive his court cases and ultimately hand over the presidency to him, but little did he know that Ruto had an entirely different agenda,” says Kinity.

Kinity raises a serious accusation, claiming that Ruto’s ultimate plan involves manipulating various Kenyan communities, particularly the Kikuyu, to solve what he perceives as long-standing tensions between the Kalenjin and Kikuyu communities.

Kinity alleges that Ruto has been using key Kikuyu leaders, including Gachagua, to weaken the Kikuyu community. Now, with Gachagua removed, Ruto has found a more dependable ally in Kindiki.

The statement takes a darker turn, as Kinity accuses Ruto of harboring deeper motives, extending beyond the Kikuyu.

According to him, the President is determined to “solve and end his anger over the presence of the Kisiis and Luhyas in Kitale,” suggesting an ethnically charged agenda.

Kithure Kindiki, now in the position of Deputy President, has been cast by Kinity as a key enabler of Ruto’s oppressive strategies.

Kinity accuses Kindiki of being directly involved in the brutal crackdowns on demonstrators in March, where youth from the so-called Gen Z movement were killed.

He also points to Kindiki’s role in the violent suppression of opposition supporters in the June and July protests, which saw numerous casualties.

“Kindiki has been instrumental in carrying out Ruto’s orders,” says Kinity, further alleging that Kindiki’s swift rise to the Deputy President position is a reward for his involvement in these oppressive acts.

The appointment of Kindiki, Kinity argues, is a signal that Ruto is preparing to implement even harsher measures, with Kindiki at the forefront.

Kinity highlights the close relationship between the police force and the Ministry of Internal Security, which Kindiki once led.

Under his command, Kinity claims, the police were responsible for not only the crackdown on protests but also the arrest of Kikuyu elders during a prayer session at Mt. Kenya, and the controversial arrests of landowners in Naivasha, allegedly on Ruto’s orders.

With Kindiki’s ascension to the Deputy Presidency, Kinity warns that President Ruto is likely to appoint another “ruthless and merciless” figure to the position of Cabinet Secretary for Internal Security, ensuring that his control over the police remains intact.

According to Kinity, this will allow Ruto to continue what he believes is a systematic effort to oppress various communities in Kenya.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Kinity urges Kenyan legislators to open their eyes to what is unfolding before them.

He accuses many of them of blindly following President Ruto without fully understanding the consequences of their support. “They will regret it in the end,” he cautions, painting a future where those who continue to back Ruto’s administration may face serious backlash from their constituents and the public at large.

The statement by Dr. Isaac Newton Kinity casts a chilling shadow over Kenya’s political future.

If his warnings are to be believed, the nation may be on the verge of unprecedented internal strife, driven by ethnic divisions and a government increasingly seen as out of touch with the rule of law.

At a time when Kenya faces numerous challenges, including economic hardships and rising social tensions, the allegations of ethnic manipulation and authoritarian tactics, if proven true, would represent a serious threat to the nation’s stability.

The appointment of Kithure Kindiki, a figure now seen as central to this evolving political drama, could further polarize an already divided country.
