The heated exchange, captured in a video shared on Manoti TV’s YouTube channel and seen by Nakuru Times, highlights the tension as Nasieku attempted to inform the affected stall owners that the governor had issued a directive to halt the demolitions.

An irate CECM Kuria was also seen issuing orders and receiving a call, presumably from Governor Kihika, confirming that he had arrived on the scene and had halted the demolitions in accordance with her instructions.

Earlier, Simon Ole Nasieku, the Chairman of the Stall Owners in Nakuru, issued a press statement assuring the owners that the demolitions would cease. Nasieku stated that he had written to the governor, who responded promptly to stop the illegal activity.

He called upon Governor Kihika to issue allotment letters to the stall owners, providing them with a guarantee against being evicted from their premises.
