Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has come out strongly in support of Trans-Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, using his Facebook post to roast those criticizing him.
Gachagua’s message, which has the sharp humor he’s known for, aimed at encouraging Natembeya to ignore the distractions and focus on the work ahead.
“Please don’t let these ‘Court Poets’ and ‘Masters of Platitude’ distract you. They’re only trying to entertain their master, not help the people,”
Gachagua wrote, referring to those attacking Natembeya. In his usual style, Gachagua added a pointed remark about Natembeya’s critics, calling them “Court Jesters” who are just providing comic relief.
Gachagua also touched on the actions of some political figures, including Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa, who caused a stir at a funeral by engaging in dramatic behavior.
“The loud rants and tirades against you just show that you’re hitting the right marks,” Gachagua said. He hinted that the louder the noise from critics, the more it proves Natembeya is making a real difference in Trans-Nzoia.
In his closing remarks, Gachagua encouraged Natembeya to keep pushing forward, saying, “Keep uniting your people and protecting their dignity. This unity will always keep your people’s interests at the heart of any administration.”
The Impeached Deputy President wrapped up with a prayer for Natembeya, adding, “May God continue to guide you,” while still taking a playful jab at the noisy critics, reminding them that their loud voices only help strengthen Natembeya’s cause.
