Aspiring Nakuru Town West MP Hon. Robinas Makana met with members of the Rhonda Landlords’ Welfare on Monday in a bid to listen to their challenges and present his vision for a more united and prosperous community.

The welfare, which comprises 100 landlords from the Rhonda area, was formed with the noble objective of supporting its members during periods of calamities, such as bereavements.

However, members raised pressing concerns over infrastructure, insecurity, and the lack of cooperation from the current leadership.

“Our roads are in a deplorable state, drainage is a nightmare during the rainy season, and street lights are either broken or non-existent, making insecurity a daily threat. We have tried reaching out to the sitting MP for assistance, but he remains uncooperative and unreachable,” one landlord lamented during the meeting.

In addition to infrastructure, the welfare requested support for a community tent to be used during funeral vigils, an initiative aimed at easing the burden on grieving families.

Hon. Makana, known for his people-first approach, assured the landlords of his commitment to addressing these challenges.

He pledged to work closely with the welfare and the broader community to improve infrastructure, enhance security, and foster collaboration between leaders and residents.

“I believe leadership is about accessibility and service. As your representative, I will ensure your voices are heard and your issues addressed. Together, we can make Rhonda and Nakuru Town West a better place for all,” Hon. Makana said.

The meeting concluded with members expressing optimism about the aspirant’s vision and pledging to support his candidacy.

Makana Tosha!” one enthusiastic landlord exclaimed, capturing the growing sentiment in the room.

As the 2027 elections draw closer, Hon. Makana continues to position himself as a candidate who understands and prioritizes the needs of the people.
