In what is shaping up to be a game-changing political development in Nakuru Town West, Kamba community leaders have thrown their weight behind Hon. Robinas Makana’s bid for the parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
The leaders, drawn from various sectors of society, met with Makana at his office in Kenlands earlier today.
The agenda of the meeting was clear: to consolidate their support behind a candidate they believe holds the key to the betterment of the constituency.
Speaking after the meeting, Mutua, a representative from the Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU), praised Makana as a visionary leader who resonates with the aspirations of Nakuru Town West residents.
“We have assessed all the candidates eyeing the seat, and we are convinced that Robinas Makana is the only light for the betterment of our constituency,” Mutua said.
Maloza, a former aspirant for the London Ward MCA seat, echoed similar sentiments, calling on the community to rally behind Makana.
“This is not just about one community; it’s about uniting Nakuru Town West under a leader who will prioritize sustainable development, healthcare, infrastructure, and opportunities for small business entrepreneurs,” Maloza noted.
Junior Counsel Mwangangi, another notable attendee, highlighted Makana’s ability to bridge divides and bring people together.
“Robinas Makana has demonstrated an openness that inspires confidence across all communities. If not Robinas, then it’s Makana. That’s the level of trust we have in him,” Mwangangi declared, drawing applause from the attendees.
The meeting underscored Makana’s growing influence in Nakuru Town West politics, particularly among the Kamba community, which forms a significant voting bloc in the constituency.
Makana, a respected businessman with a strong background in public service and business management, has been positioning himself as a candidate focused on transformative leadership.
His agenda includes improving infrastructure, enhancing healthcare services, boosting security, and empowering small-scale traders.
Responding to the support, Makana thanked the Kamba leaders for their trust and vowed to live up to their expectations. “Leadership is about service, and I am committed to ensuring that Nakuru Town West achieves its full potential,” Makana said.
As the 2027 election nears, Robinas Makana’s name continues to dominate discussions, with his team steadily building alliances across different communities.
The meeting is seen as a strategic move to consolidate grassroots support and solidify his candidacy as the people’s choice.
With the slogan “If not Robinas, then Makana,” the candidate’s camp is confident that their message of unity and progress will resonate with voters come election day.
