Kenyans are urging Dr. Isaac Newton Kinity, a prominent human rights activist currently residing in the United States, to return and spearhead the fight against growing injustices, corruption, and poverty allegedly caused by government mismanagement.

Norah Sankara, a resident of Kisii, commended Dr. Kinity for his unwavering dedication to defending the rights of the common mwananchi despite living abroad.

She highlighted his financial support for critical community initiatives in Kisii, including assistance during funerals, which required significant resources.

However, Sankara expressed concern over funds meant for widows that have allegedly been misappropriated.

“We have no godfather to defend us, and that’s why we are requesting Dr. Kinity to jet back into the country and assist us,” Sankara said.

She called on Dr. Kinity to press corrupt leaders who she claims are squandering public funds meant for vulnerable groups.

Elizabeth Mochache, another Kisii resident, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the plight of widows who have formed self-help groups to sustain their livelihoods but lack the financial resources to operate effectively.

“The government has neglected us, and our funds have been squandered. We are appealing to Dr. Kinity to come back and help us secure justice,” Mochache said.

Cleophas Ogembo, an expert in foreign policies, decried Kenya’s deteriorating GDP, attributing it to rampant corruption and poor governance.

He alleged that foreign aid funds and loans are being misappropriated, further worsening the country’s economic state.

“We need someone like Dr. Kinity, with his experience and integrity, to step in and lead the fight against these injustices,” Ogembo said.
