Nakuru trade expo holds exhibitors meeting in Nakuru

Nakuru trade expo committee organising committee has today 7th May 2025 hosted several stakeholders in a breakfast meeting held at Nakuru sports club to sensitize people about the upcoming expo.

The upcoming expo will run for 3 days from 29th -31st May 2025 at Nakuru Sports club, targets players in the business sector, including innovators, manufacturers, suppliers, among others in the value chain. They are set to appear and showcase their products and brands for marketing and networking to build the future of the business.

While addressing the media covering the event, Mr. David Mwangi, Chairperson of Nakuru County Tourism Association, said he has high expectations that Nakuru City will become a Niche of an expo destination where innovators will be coming to showcase their products.

“Tourism is the backbone of Nakuru and second in the county’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) earner. I am happy to welcome the trade expo that we are organizing to showcase Nakuru city as an expo destination.” He said.

Josephat Nyongesa, Director at TJ Premier Limited, who are also among the main organizers of the Nakuru trade expo, has appealed to all stakeholders who are in business and want to showcase their product to turn up in multitudes. The event will be free for those who want to come and see.

“We want to encourage everyone who wants to put their brand in the limelight to bring their brands to an exhibition to the new market, and through the expo, they will be able to network and benefit,” Josephat says.

While meeting different stakeholders and investors who will attend the coming up expo trade, Mr Stephen Kuria Muiruri Nakuru County CEC Trade, Culture and Tourism stated that efforts put to promote trade in Nakuru is worthy.

“Every county is competing to attract investment. Nakuru has been ranked 3rd in terms of fastest growing county and in terms of GDP after Nairobi. That shows each and every effort that we are putting as a government to promote trade in Nakuru is worthy and bearing fruit.” he said.

He requested everyone in and outside Nakuru to consider Nakuru as a great city of investment, citing the expo as a great opportunity to create a network to bring investors and traders together to share their knowledge, expand partnerships, and bring exposure.

“I want to inform exhibitors and all stakeholders who intend to attend the expo that we have put all the surety arrangements in place, and assure them that their property will be safe. Feel free to join and look at what will be exhibited in the expo.” He said.

The organisers of this expo includes Nakuru county goverment, Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rift Valley sports club, National Cable and telecommunication association, TJ premier among others.
