In an electrifying display of dissent, Raila Odinga, the leader of Azimio la Umoja, has taken the first step in a nationwide campaign to repeal the Finance Act of 2023.

During the Saba Saba rally at Kamukunji grounds in Nairobi, Odinga expressed his dissatisfaction with President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, leaders of the Kenya Kwanza government.

Odinga personally signed the petition, and the coalition aims to gather a staggering 10 million signatures by the following Friday.

Undeterred by police warnings, the Azimio movement has announced its intention to march to Central Park in Nairobi after the Kamukunji rally.
