Robinas Makana Consoles Grieving Kaptembwo Family, Calls for Leadership Focused on Empowerment

Business mogul and Nakuru Town West parliamentary hopeful Hon. Robinas Makana on Tuesday attended a fundraiser for a grieving family in Kaptembwo following a tragic domestic incident that claimed the life of their patriarch, Elijah Matoke Maina.
Maina, 52, was reportedly attacked with acid by his second wife, Ruth Jelang’at, on December 5, 2024, in a suspected domestic dispute.
The incident, which occurred around 6 a.m., has left the community shocked and mourning.
During the fundraiser, Makana not only consoled the bereaved family but used the platform to call for transformative leadership in Nakuru Town West.
He emphasized the importance of empowering citizens to achieve self-independence, rather than fostering a culture of dependency on politicians.
“We need leadership that prioritizes self-reliance. Our people should not be reduced to beggars of politicians whenever they face difficulties. True leadership is about creating opportunities for empowerment,” Makana stated passionately.
Makana, who has gained significant traction in Nakuru West politics, urged the public to respect the current leadership under MP Samuel Arama, but also look ahead to the 2027 General Elections with an open mind.
He urged residents to consider him as the ideal candidate to bring progressive change to Nakuru Town West.
“Let us respect the leadership in place, but when the time comes, I humbly ask you to entrust me with the responsibility of representing you in Parliament. Together, we can transform Nakuru West into a beacon of opportunity and growth,” Makana said.
The fundraiser attracted local leaders and members of the community, further solidifying Makana’s growing support base in Kaptembwo and beyond.
