The race for Nakuru’s top seat in 2027 is already taking shape, with Senator Tabitha Karanja Keroche securing early endorsements from key grassroots leaders.

In a strategic meeting, Bunge La Mwananchi Nakuru Chapter President Robert Makokha pledged his support for Karanja, signaling a shift in local political dynamics.

Makokha, known for his influence in grassroots mobilization, met with Andrew Nyabuto, the senator’s assistant manager and political advisor, for a candid discussion on Nakuru’s leadership.

He emphasized the need for a leader with a vision for the county’s future and expressed confidence that Karanja fits the bill.

The endorsement from Bunge La Mwananchi, a movement deeply connected with the ordinary citizens, is seen as a significant boost for Karanja should she decide to contest.

While she has yet to make an official declaration, the growing wave of support suggests she is positioning herself as a formidable challenger to Governor Susan Kihika in 2027.
