The vibrant 7th edition of the Scribes End of Year Party went down last evening at the chic LB Lounge in Kimuka, Ngong in Kajiado County, bringing together journalists and communication professionals for an unforgettable evening.
It was a time to reflect on the year’s achievements, savor mouthwatering nyama choma, and groove to electrifying music.
In the highlight of the night, Nakuru-based journalist Suleiman Mbatiah was crowned The Scribe of the Year 2024. His outstanding resilience and innovation in embracing digital technology, carving a unique niche in the digital space, earned him this coveted title.
Scribes Kenya President Roncliffe Odit took the stage to acknowledge and celebrate the strides made by various journalists who have ventured into the digital world, commending their courage and creativity in pursuing individual growth.
The party lived up to its billing, with the air filled with laughter, music, and the irresistible aroma of nyama choma. Journalists danced with abandon, shaking off the year’s challenges and welcoming the festive season in style.
The star-studded event drew notable names in the media and communication circles, including Kameme TV host Agnes Nonsizi, Radio Maisha’s Billy Miya, BBC radio presenters Phylis Mwatee and Sarafina Robi, K24’s Busara Naaman, Patrick Kinyua of Nakuru TV, Kioko wa Kivandi of Egerton Radio, and Zakheem Rajan, a senior communications officer from the Judiciary.
