Read Time:1 Minute, 36 Second

AZIMIO Alliance has issued a statement condemning the abduction of Mr. Maina Njenga, shedding light on the unsettling circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

The well-known political alliance expressed deep concern for Mr. Njenga’s safety as his whereabouts remain shrouded in mystery following his abduction yesterday. AZIMIO has vehemently condemned the gang-style abduction, demanding immediate answers.

Mr. Njenga’s family is in distress as they are left in the dark about his situation. Disturbingly, the abductors failed to identify themselves or provide any legal grounds for his arrest, raising suspicions that this might be the work of rogue police operatives.

The incident took a chilling turn as witnesses reported that the abductors were armed and cloaked in anonymity with hooded attire. Their choice of vehicles, Subarus, is indicative of possible ties to the Special Support Unit (SSU), notorious for its role in intimidating citizens during anti-tax protests.

What makes this incident even more alarming is the timing. Mr. Maina Njenga is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow for a pre-trial hearing, and his arrest is viewed by AZIMIO as a deliberate attempt to obstruct the judicial process.

Furthermore, AZIMIO suggests that Mr. Njenga’s abduction is part of a broader pattern of targeting and intimidation directed at opposition leaders by the Kenya Kwanza faction. This alarming trend, they argue, is intended to divert public attention from pressing issues such as skyrocketing fuel and food prices.

AZIMIO Alliance issued a stern demand for the immediate and unconditional release of Mr. Njenga or his production in court. They emphasized that they would hold the Inspector General of Police accountable for Mr. Njenga’s safety.

In closing, AZIMIO cautioned the public about the increasingly challenging political climate in Kenya, urging citizens to stand firm in defense of their freedoms and rights. They emphasized the need for unity in the face of what they perceive as desperate and authoritarian measures by Kenya Kwanza.
