Renowned human rights activist and former Secretary General of the Kenya Civil Servants Union, Dr. Isaac Newton Kinity, has delivered a powerful statement lauding U.S. President Donald Trump for his visionary policies while issuing a stern warning to President William Ruto’s administration.
Speaking after attending President Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, Dr. Kinity expressed optimism that Trump’s policies will offer hope and relief to Kenyans suffering under what he described as a corrupt and oppressive regime.
Dr. Kinity revealed that his invitation to the inauguration ceremony was extended by the Trump Vance Inaugural Committee through a letter dated January 15, 2024.
Describing the event as a great honor, Dr. Kinity highlighted President Trump’s new policies, which he believes could bring much-needed accountability and justice to nations like Kenya, where extrajudicial killings, abductions, and rampant corruption have flourished under impunity.
Dr. Kinity did not mince words in his critique of the Kenyan leadership, specifically targeting President Ruto’s close ally, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.
According to Dr. Kinity, Sudi’s recent remarks about rigging the next elections in favor of Ruto, regardless of the will of the people, epitomize the arrogance and disregard for democracy that has plagued the current administration.
“Kenyans are enduring a regime that thrives on looted taxes, misappropriated loans, and grants. The impunity with which this happens is unprecedented. However, I have no doubt that with President Trump’s leadership and commitment to justice, there will soon be relief for Kenyans,” said Dr. Kinity.
Dr. Kinity also addressed President Trump’s immigration policies, countering critics who have labeled them as harsh.

He argued that Trump’s approach reflects foresight and a commitment to safeguarding the United States from the potential chaos of uncontrolled immigration.
“If America opened its borders to all, there is no doubt that the influx would destabilize the nation. President Trump’s policies aim to strike a balance between maintaining order and offering opportunities through systems like the green card lottery,” said Dr. Kinity.
While supporting the policies, he urged for certain adjustments to ensure they remain inclusive and humane. He expressed his willingness to engage President Trump directly as a member of the Presidential Advisory Board of the Republican National Committee (RNC) to provide input on these critical matters.
Dr. Kinity concluded his statement with a message of hope for Kenyans, assuring them that change is possible if they remain vigilant and demand accountability. He praised the Trump administration’s potential to support justice and human rights worldwide, including in Kenya.
As a life member and sustaining member of the Republican Party, as well as the Chairman of the Kikimo Foundation for Corruption and Poverty Eradication, Dr. Kinity reiterated his commitment to fighting for transparency and justice in Kenya.
“Kenyans deserve better. The era of impunity, looting, and political arrogance must end. Let us draw inspiration from nations that value democracy and work towards a future where leadership is about service, not self-interest,” he declared.
