Shocking Incident: Catholic Priest Found Dead After Night Out with Young Woman

An unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday, July 8, 2023, in Murang’a, where a Catholic priest was discovered dead while enjoying himself with a 32-year-old woman.
According to the police report, Father Joseph Kariuki, 43, from Ruai Parish in Nairobi County, entered the Monalisa Restaurant in the Gatanga constituency on Friday evening, accompanied by his romantic partner, and rented a room for the night.
They ordered wine and delicacies, and after satisfying their appetites and quenching their thirst, they retired to the room for some intimate time together.
“However, in the morning around two o’clock, the lady witnessed the priest in a bewildered state, unresponsive and lifeless. She immediately rushed to call the hotel managers, who quickly arrived at the room, and efforts to take the priest to the hospital began,” the police report explained.
The hotel managers contacted the Samura police station, and two officers were dispatched to respond to the call.
“Upon arrival, the officers found the priest removed from the bedroom and placed in his black Toyota Harrier car, with his nudity covered by a bedsheet,” said Gatanga Police Chief, Mr. Laurence Njeru.
Accompanied by two hotel staff members and the priest’s companion, the police officers transported the patient to Kenol Hospital, where it was confirmed that he had passed away.
The body was then transferred to the Mater Mortuary in Nairobi, with the police stating that the cause of death is being investigated based on witness statements and laboratory analysis.
Mr. Njeru mentioned that samples of wine and the food consumed by the two lovers have been collected for further examination, while a complete picture of the cause of death is expected from the autopsy.
